No matter what possessions a person may have or where they are, if they cannot find joy, they can never see it, regardless of their circumstances. It isn’t another talk of desires or material happiness. Our life gives us choices to make, looking at the different aspects of it. But we expect what you show daily via social media, films, or media content from news. It is also a choice of what we should consume for these different channels and what aspect is necessary for our lives. That should also match your desires, but if you can’t choose a suitable one, discriminate the positive or negative aspects if they lead you to desire things you do not want. It’s like a trap used for the rat to engage. Some businesses show advertisements and persuade you using their marketing techniques. So what choice do you have not to choose the things you won’t need to understand the aspects of it? Does it lead to fulfilment with joy, or does it lead you to unpleasantness?
Please don’t confuse this aspect, either positive or negative, with the ability to feel positive or negative, which we call positivity or negativity. It is also a concept for business people who want to sell you something to woo you. They teach you to remain positive, whatever your situation. The followership of positivity has come a long way in people’s lives and is mixed in our veins. It wasn’t a mindset of understanding your desire, the aspect of life, or what you want from it. But it creates a mindset you need it, anyway; otherwise, you will miss something big in your life. It is taught in your mind and woven in your brain wire like a circuit, but that circuit takes the route and starts not from your desires but from the one who wants to dispose of his product or news to you. So, this faulty connection damaged your brain wire, creating a short circuit.
Avoid the short circuits of desire and dissatisfaction by taking control of your outlook. Our outlook on life inherently links joy. By consciously focusing on the positive aspects of our experiences, we can find happiness in any situation. It isn’t about ignoring challenges or pretending everything is perfect. It’s about empowering yourself to see the good in life, even amidst difficulties. Cultivating gratitude and appreciation can help shift our focus from what we lack to what we have, bringing us closer to joy.
Start by not dwelling on suffering and negativity, as it can make our perception of life seem bleak. This mindset can create a self-fulfilling prophecy where we constantly find reasons to be unhappy. Instead, focus on the potential for growth and learning in challenging situations. For example, if we continually complain about a demanding job, we might miss out on the opportunity to appreciate the skills we are developing or the relationships we are building.
Similarly, if we get upset over minor inconveniences like a traffic jam, we might overlook the beautiful scenery on our way or the opportunity to listen to our favourite podcast. A positive outlook allows us to appreciate these small joys that often go unnoticed. A stunning sunset, a friendly smile from a passerby, or a moment of peace can all bring immense joy when we are open to them. It’s about shifting our focus from what we lack to what we have and recognising the abundance in our lives.
You don’t need positivity or negativity. It would help if you had an aspect of life and outlook to view this world and yourself. That view isn’t like a chakravuyh, a deep plot to make you suffer more, but need a tactical formation where you plan to cut the retreat coming from the others; you look at the aspect where you understand what is available and your focus not on you increases its value but realise the meaning of what you possess, and finding joy in it. It never brings to the situation where you are compromising what you want to achieve. But it paves the way for you to have better choices about the discrimination of thoughts and actions. Regularly acknowledging the good things in our lives can shift our focus from what we lack to what we have, eventually bringing us joy.
Finding joy depends on our outlook; we can find joy in whatever is available. If we focus on suffering, we will always find suffering, turning life into a tale of suffering filled with unhappiness. Focusing on the negative aspects of life rather than the positive ones leads to unpleasantness. It means that we have learned to imprison ourselves in the dark and overlook the bright aspects of life. The element that fills us with joy begins with our perspective. We can find happiness in any circumstance by focusing on life’s positive aspects and cultivating a gratitude and appreciation mindset. The power to experience joy lies within us, independent of our external conditions. We can transform our lives into a narrative of joy and fulfilment by embracing a positive outlook. No matter where we are or what we possess, true happiness is within our reach when we learn to see the bright side of life.
